Delete your StimuStop account

1. In the iPhone app

Open Profile › Account › Delete account. If you signed up with email, you confirm with your password. If you used Sign in with Apple, you confirm with Apple again.

2. On the web

Log in at stimustop.com, open Profile and choose Delete account in the "Danger zone" at the bottom. You confirm with your password. This works for accounts that have a password. If you signed up with Sign in with Apple, use the app or email us.

3. By email

Write to support@stimustop.com from the address you registered with and ask us to delete your account. If you chose Hide My Email with Sign in with Apple, include the Apple relay address (it's listed in your Apple Account settings under Sign in with Apple). We delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and confirm by reply.

4. What gets deleted

• your account: email, name, password (hash) and settings
• habits, streak history, relapses, cravings and your journal
• community posts and hearts
• your conversations and the messages you sent, blocks and the reports you filed
• notifications, push device tokens and the Premium purchase records we keep

When you confirm in the app or on the web, the data is deleted right away and you're signed out on every device. Very little stays: reports other people filed about your messages (without the message text), and technical logs and error reports, which expire on their normal schedule. Early access sign-ups are a separate list; email us if you want yours removed too.

5. Premium subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Apple manages it, and you cancel it in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Best do that before you delete the account. Refunds are up to Apple under its policies.

6. Sign in with Apple

If you created or linked the account with Sign in with Apple, we also revoke StimuStop's authorization with Apple when the account is deleted. StimuStop then drops off the list of apps that use Sign in with Apple. You can also remove it yourself in Settings › Apple Account › Sign in with Apple.
