Everything you need to know about StimuStop — how it works, how we handle privacy, and what happens after a relapse.
No. StimuStop is a personal tracking tool, not a clinical service. It helps you log progress, understand patterns, and stay accountable — but it does not replace therapy, counselling, or medical treatment. If you're dealing with a serious dependency, please also seek professional support.
Yes. Everything you record is private by default. Nothing is visible to other users unless you explicitly opt in to community sharing. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. You can delete your account and all data at any time from your profile settings.
A slip is part of quitting — it's data, not failure. You log it, note the trigger if you know it, and carry on. No punishment, no shaming messages, and you keep every milestone you've reached. The streak simply starts again from that moment.
Yes. You can add multiple habits independently and track them all at the same time. Each has its own streak, journal, milestones, and slip log.
Mainly people quitting smoking, vaping, or nicotine pouches. It works just as well for alcohol, caffeine, sugar, or any other habit you want to cut back on.
Yes. StimuStop is completely free to use. There is no premium tier, no subscription, no ads, and no credit card required. Ever.
Yes. StimuStop runs in any browser on desktop and mobile, and a native iOS app is on the way. Your account and data stay the same across devices.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
StimuStop is fully localised in English and Czech. You can switch languages anytime from the footer or your profile settings.
Every public post has options to report it and block the user. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content that violates our guidelines.
Your streak counts up automatically from the moment you quit — live, down to the day, hour and minute. You don't have to check in daily to keep it going; StimuStop calculates it from your quit time, so your progress is always accurate whenever you open the app.
Nothing is lost. Your streak is based on your quit date, not on daily logging, so taking a break from the app won't reset it. Journalling and check-ins are optional extras for reflection — helpful, but never required to keep your progress.
Yes. Alongside the common ones — smoking, vaping, alcohol, sugar and more — you can add a custom habit for anything you're working to break. The streak, milestones and savings tracking work the same way whatever the habit is.
If you want. You can set a daily reminder at a time that suits you, and StimuStop will nudge you to check in — but only if you haven't already that day. Reminders are entirely optional and easy to turn off in your settings.
No, not unless you choose to share. Everything is private by default. You can opt a specific habit into the community to give and receive encouragement, but nothing is ever public unless you deliberately turn that on.
